DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Develop and update 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using CAD software like Siemens NX, SolidWorks, and so on.
2.Maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with company standards and industry standard practices.
3.Collaborate with engineers to resolve design challenges and optimize manufacturability.
4.Prepare and manage CAD files for prototyping, tooling, and production.
5.Support design reviews and provide technical input on design feasibility.
6.Ensure proper version control and data management within PLM systems.
7.Assist in creating BOMs and supporting documentation for manufacturing.
SCOPE:
To be responsible for creating and modifying 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software like Siemens NX or SolidWorks to support product development and engineering projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, experience in CAD design, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient design execution.
EDUCATION:
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred)
PREFERRED: None
WORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED: 2+ years mechanical design experience
PREFERRED: Design experience in mechanical design on optical components, passive or active modules, optical connection, electronic connection products, or precision devices.
Design experience with assembly line fixture and jig.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
REQUIRED:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD design, preferably with Siemens NX or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in 3D modelling, drafting, and assembly design.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of general telecommunication standards.
• Understands properties of metal, glass and ceramics materials, manufacturing methods and surface treatment techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
PREFERRED:
• English CET 6 or above, or equivalent. Proficient in reading and writing. Adequate in verbal communication.
