Georgia-Pacific LLC has an HR Business Partner opening in the headquarters location of Atlanta, GA to support the IT organization. This individual will work to build strong rapport and relationships alongside employees and supervisors in the organization while influencing at all levels of the organization. This individual will be crucial in building a Principle Based Management (PBM) culture and advancing our talent position to support the capability in achieving their objectives. This role will have several areas of HR responsibilities such as advancing our culture, building relationships with supervisors to coach on policies, compensation, performance, talent acquisition and employee relations as well as executing initiatives that help the business achieve results.
This is a hybrid position based in Atlanta, Georgia.
What You Will Do
Enable Contribution and Mutually-Beneficial Outcomes:
- Champion GP’s culture and values, promoting a work environment that is centered around Principle Based Management
- Build relationships, credibility, and rapport to influence and advance business vision and initiatives
Employee Relations:
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws
- Facilitate and coach on performance discussions and provide support for employee issues and supervisor effectiveness
Compensation and Benefits:
- Leverage data and partner with supervisors to ensure our approach to compensation is applied and practiced
Talent Acquisition:
- Work with recruiting team and hiring supervisors to execute on talent strategies
- Provide support to early-career programs including program strategy, analysis, recruitment, and onboarding
HR Operations:
- Deliver solutions that support/enable teams to meet business objectives
- Partner with leveraged HR capabilities for service delivery to supervisors and employees for problem and needs resolution
- Ensure accurate and efficient HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and HRIS management
- Leverage data-driven solutions to pull reports and prepare summaries to support business and advance results
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience executing tasks to accelerate the achievement of business objectives
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
- Strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate needs and issues before they arise
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment while meeting internal and external customer needs; work to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience working with and using data to drive decision-making and execute on initiatives
What Will Put You Ahead
- Three or more years in an HR-related role
- Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, and organizational development
- Demonstrated ability to apply Principle Based Management to achieve better outcomes and demonstrated commitment to deepening that understanding through continued learning and experimentation
