What You Will Do
1.Review and interpret customer design requirements from Marketing, Sales or Customer drawings or specifications.
2. Provide preliminary design feasibility review per customer requirements.
3. Create CAD design models, sales and engineering drawings, and other design specifications.
4. Conduct design reviews to determine feasibility of design and design for manufacturability.
5. Release final design specifications for tooling design and development.
6. Establish test specification plan for product reliability testing.
7. Support tooling engineers in disposing First Article inspection reports.
8. Approve or disapprove product deviation requests.
9. Review engineering verification samples, documents and test reports for customer approval.
10. Provide design support for product modifications and/or extensions.
11. Provide customer required data and information timely with sales team
12. Provide design support for manufacturing process improvements and participate in cost reduction activities.
13. Respond to customer complaints on design related issues.
14. Communicate with external customer and internal team for good cooperation.
15. New tools - Fusion application practice.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Metallic Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
2. At least 3 years of terminal and connector design experience and application.
3. Good knowledge of product design for stamping and plating process
4. Able to communicate (reading, writing and listening) in English
5. Adopt a professional attitude towards work and assume full responsibility for any project or tasks assigned;
6. Demonstrate good teamwork for overall success;
7. CAD Software for drafting and modelling;
8. Terminal design and manufacturing(stamping and plating) technologies;
9. Metal material, Plating ;
10. Design problem solving skills – 8D, DFMEA, Tolerance Analysis.
What Will Put You Ahead
1. Master’s degree
2. Have sheet metal, terminal design experience
3. Skilled at NX(UG)
