Application Support Engineer — US / UK / Asia shift
You will be the first line of defense for business‑critical applications, owning user access, incident response, and day‑to‑day stability. In this role you’ll combine hands‑on troubleshooting (logs, data and configs) with cross‑team coordination to keep applications available and users productive.
Our Team
You’ll join a cross‑functional support team that partners closely with Development, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security to support enterprise applications across multiple regions. The team follows ITIL best practices and focuses on fast, measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
- Act as the primary point of contact (L1/L2) for all application‑related incidents, service requests, and user queries
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues by analyzing logs, application behavior, data, and configurations
- Perform initial root cause analysis (RCA) and collaborate with development teams for deeper technical fixes
- Monitor application health, availability, and performance; proactively identify and report potential issues
- Validate deployments and provide post‑release support, including smoke testing and monitoring
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (Development, Infra, Cloud, Security) for timely resolution
- Maintain accurate incident documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes in line with ITIL practices
- Ensure adherence to defined SLAs, response times, and escalation procedures
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications).
- 3–5 years' experience in Application Support, Technical Support, or Developer Support for enterprise or business‑critical applications
Working knowledge of: React, JavaScript, HTML & CSS, PowerApps, SQL
- Ability to debug and understand application code at a functional level
- Good understanding of application workflows, business processes, and user behavior
- Familiarity with logs, error handling, and monitoring outputs
- Clear and effective communication skills for end‑user and team interactions
- Comfortable working shift schedules and participating in on‑call rotation
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI)
- Basic understanding of API integrations, backend services, and data flows
- Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools (Application Insights, Azure Monitor, etc.)
- Experience with ticketing and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira
- Awareness of ITIL concepts (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
