Your Job
In this role, you will work closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and global engineering teams to take products from concept through high‑volume production, ensuring robust designs, manufacturability, and continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
- Support the design and development of mechanical components for high‑speed connectors and cable systems.
- Act as a technical bridge between product design and manufacturing during new product introductions.
- Review new product concepts and provide design for manufacturability (DFM) and feasibility feedback.
- Collaborate closely with internal manufacturing teams and external suppliers to identify and resolve process and design issues.
- Lead or support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
- Propose alternative design or process solutions and track improvement progress.
- Support FAI reviews, data analysis, and validation activities.
- Partner with Quality to review measurement features and ensure design robustness.
- Capture and share lessons learned across projects to strengthen future product launches.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and other engineering activities as assigned.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in mechanical product design or manufacturing of electronic products.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and basic FEA concepts.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, insert molding, die casting, stamping, and plating.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross‑functional, multicultural teams.
- Self‑starter mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Business‑level proficiency in English.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience designing high‑speed, high‑density connectors or cable assemblies.
- Exposure to new product development (NPD) and product launch environments.
- Knowledge of industry quality standards and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience with root cause analysis, design optimization, and data‑driven decision making.
- Hands‑on experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
