Guardian Glass is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant – Financial Reporting & Consolidation to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI.
The Senior Corporate Accountant – Financial Reporting & Consolidation is a key member of the Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting team responsible for supporting global close, consolidation, corporate financial reporting, and SG&A accounting activities.
This role is ideal for an experienced accountant with strong technical judgment, analytical curiosity, and the ability to connect accounting activity to the financial statements, resolve issues, improve recurring processes, and partner with finance teams across regions. The strongest candidates will bring a high degree of ownership, sound accounting judgment, and the confidence to identify, research, and resolve issues while knowing when to ask for input or alignment.

What You Will Do
- Execute and improve monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for the Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting function, including recurring and consolidation journal entries, supporting schedules, and issue resolution
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and supporting schedules for leadership review
- Analyze consolidated financial results, explain key fluctuations and business drivers, and investigate unusual balances, variances, and accounting exceptions
- Coordinate with regional accounting teams to resolve close issues, align timelines, and support consistent reporting execution across entities
- Support external audit requests, year-end reporting, and related control documentation
- Own accounting, reporting, forecasting support, and capability-level dashboards for corporate SG&A expenses, with a focus on spend trends, forecast accuracy, and decision-useful insights
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve close efficiency and standardize recurring accounting activities across global accounting operations
- Maintain process documentation, standard work instructions, and training materials that support consistent execution and knowledge transfer
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Progressive accounting experience or a combination of experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, audit, or consolidation, demonstrating increasing responsibility and technical expertise
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to perform functions such as pivots, lookups, and data validation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting matters clearly to finance partners and global stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow through on open items in a global close and reporting environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work across large data sets and financial systems to identify issues, research variances, and ensure accurate financial reporting
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience supporting consolidated financial reporting in a multinational organization, including exposure to foreign currency and intercompany considerations
- Experience with consolidation, ERP, and reporting systems
- Experience using AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance efficiency, research, documentation, and analytical work while maintaining sound professional judgment
