Molex is seeking a 3rd Shift Supervisor to lead plating operations and support a safe, quality-focused, and efficient manufacturing environment. In this role, you will develop and coach team members, coordinate daily workflow, monitor process and equipment performance, and help build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This leader will apply Principle Based Management to help employees contribute at their highest level while driving long-term value for the business.
3rd Shift- Sunday- Thursday 11:00 p.m.- 7:30 a.m.
What You Will Do
- Lead daily plating operations on 3rd shift while reinforcing safety, quality, delivery, and productivity expectations.
- Coach, develop, and support team members by understanding their strengths, interests, and development opportunities.
- Monitor equipment and process performance, identify issues early, and partner with maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve concerns.
- Coordinate with production management to execute daily workflow, align priorities, and meet delivery expectations.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, attendance information, and other required documentation.
- Monitor employee attendance and ensure Kronos timecards are completed accurately and on time.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and train employees on departmental standard operating procedures and work instructions; create and update work instructions as needed.
- Communicate regularly with team members on the production floor and provide clear updates to leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying waste, improving flow, and supporting sustainable process improvements.
- Lead 6S efforts across the production floor with an emphasis on sustainability and team ownership.
- Understand, support, and contribute to Molex Quality and Environmental systems by following stated policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and uphold Our Values in daily decisions and leadership interactions.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment.
- Experience leading, coaching, training, or directing the work of others.
- Experience supporting safety, quality, production, or delivery expectations in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using written procedures, work instructions, production records, or manufacturing systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, support teams, and leadership.
- Ability to work 3rd shift and spend regular time on the production floor.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience leading teams in plating, surface finishing, chemical processing, or a similar manufacturing operation.
- Experience with Kronos or similar timekeeping systems.
- Experience developing or updating standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Experience supporting 6S, Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or waste-elimination initiatives.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with maintenance, quality, engineering, or production management.
