Koch Real Estate Investments (KREI) is seeking an Asset Management Associate to help advance the ongoing build-out of our Asset Management platform across a diverse real estate portfolio. This role offers the unique opportunity to join a growing function and contribute to the development of portfolio-wide processes, data and operating infrastructure, performance reporting, and business planning initiatives that support investment decision-making.
This position will be heavily involved in portfolio analytics, operational improvement initiatives, and strategic asset management projects across KREI’s investments, while also supporting deal-level asset management activities, helping drive execution and investment performance throughout the hold period.
Our Team
You will join a growing Asset Management team that partners across KREI’s Assets and Credit verticals. The team works closely with deal teams, finance, and external sponsors to drive performance, improve processes, and build scalable infrastructure across the portfolio.
What You Will Do
- Partner with the Director of Asset Management to help build and scale KREI’s Asset Management platform, including portfolio reporting, business planning, analytics, and the development of data and technology infrastructure that supports investment decision-making
- Support portfolio-level performance monitoring across a diverse real estate investment portfolio (equity and credit), identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Partner with investment teams on deal-specific asset management activities as needs arise, including performance analysis, market studies, dispositions, refinancing initiatives and other strategic projects
- Assist with financial modeling and analytical initiatives across the portfolio, including cash flow forecasting, return analyses, scenario modeling, and review of deal-level investment assumptions
- Analyze financial statements, operating reports, rent rolls, and market data to assess asset and portfolio performance
- Collaborate with Asset, Credit, Finance, and Property Management teams to track results and support operational and financial objectives
- Assist in portfolio-level processes such as business planning, re-underwriting, budgeting, and ongoing performance reporting
- Develop, enhance and maintain standardized templates, reporting tools, and data processes that improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the portfolio
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting materials, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and leadership
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform asset strategy and business planning
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in the real estate, private equity, investment banking or financial sector
- Experience using Excel for financial analysis and modeling
- Experience aligning multiple teams, groups and/or functions to support business decisions
- Experience with investment processes, asset management, or portfolio reporting
- Experience working with structured data, reports, or financial analysis tools
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Experience in real estate asset management or portfolio management
- Experience in private equity real estate or investment lifecycle processes
- Experience supporting the development of processes, reporting standards, or data platforms
- Experience with re-underwriting, business planning, or asset-level performance tracking
