Systems Architect, Business Development Manager (Automotive Networking Signal Integrity)

As a Systems Architect, BDM you will operate at the intersection of automotive OEMs, semiconductor partners, and industry standards bodies—shaping next-generation vehicle architectures years in advance. You will translate ecosystem insights into strategic product direction, ensuring Molex solutions are embedded early in platform design.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence Automotive Ethernet, high-speed connectivity, zonal architectures, and software-defined vehicles while partnering across engineering, product, and business teams to create long-term value.
What You Will Do
Technical Leadership & Signal Integrity
- Provide expertise in signal integrity for high-speed automotive networking channels
- Evaluate tradeoffs across Automotive Ethernet (100BASE-T1, 1000BASE-T1, Multi-Gig) and emerging protocols
- Support system-level design decisions including PCB, connector, and cable integration
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to validate performance requirements
Ecosystem & Industry Engagement
- Build relationships with semiconductor companies (e.g., NXP, TI, ADI, Broadcom, Marvell) and OEM architecture teams
- Influence reference designs and early-stage platform decisions
- Monitor and translate semiconductor and technology trends into actionable insights
Architecture Influence & Strategy
- Engage with OEM and Tier 1 partners to understand long-term connectivity needs
- Identify gaps and partner cross-functionally to shape Molex product strategy
- Support development of a forward-looking technology roadmap
Standards & Thought Leadership
- Participate in industry standards organizations (e.g., IEEE, OPEN Alliance)
- Represent Molex in customer engagements, industry forums, and technical discussions
- Contribute to technical positioning and long-term industry direction
Success in This Role

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in signal integrity or high-speed communication systems
- Knowledge of Automotive Ethernet or related networking technologies
- Experience working with OEMs, semiconductor partners, or system-level stakeholders
- Ability to influence technical decisions and translate insights into strategy
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with automotive signal integrity (SI), PHY, or SerDes technologies
- Familiarity with PCB design, EMC/EMI, or high-speed hardware integration
- Experience participating in industry standards organizations
- Background engaging semiconductor partners or influencing system architectures
- Demonstrated thought leadership through publications, presentations, or standards work
