Your Job:
As an Equipment & Maintenance Technician (Pick & Place Process), you will play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and performance of manufacturing equipment within the Optics Capability area. You will support machinery that incorporates electrical controls, mechanical components, pneumatic systems, and sensors, helping maintain safety, efficiency, and operational continuity through preventive maintenance and effective troubleshooting.
Our Team:
You will be part of the OSBU team at Molex Guadalajara 1, working closely with engineering and production teams to support equipment performance, improve machine efficiency, and maintain high operational standards within the Pick & Place manufacturing process.
What You Will Do:
- Install, maintain, sustain, and repair manufacturing machinery.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to restore performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machine efficiency and reliability.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Implement repair strategies that support continuous operation and equipment availability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications.
- Ensure machinery and systems comply with established safety regulations and industry standards.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to the appropriate technical or supervisory resources when needed.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):
- Engineering or Technician Bachelor’s Degree.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in an Automation Department or Maintenance area.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, and electrical controls.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and perform basic programming activities.
- Experience using measurement and diagnostic tools such as multimeters and calipers.
- Experience with LOTO procedures during preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to follow instructions accurately.
What Will Put You Ahead:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Experience working with automated processes and within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Manufacturing electronics background supporting equipment such as Pick & Place machines, PVA systems, dispensing machines, ovens, and volumetric valves
