Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our IT team in Katy, TX. In this role, you’ll partner across business and technology teams to solve complex problems and deliver solutions that improve how we design, build, and operate global industrial facilities.
The IT team is a vital component in KES’ strategy to improve business performance through the application of technology and to profitably transform our business. Working as an integrated group with the Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Operations, Commercial and Financial technology product teams, we support businesses that design, build and maintain facilities for various industries across the world.

As a member of the Information Technology team, you will thrive in a fast-paced and innovative environment. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and IT capabilities to define problems, identify requirements, execute solution implementation, and prove their value through experimentation and scalable deployment across our business. Displaying creativity, applying critical and economic thinking, and focusing on hands-on delivery to attain positive business results will be necessary skills. You will be resourceful and capable of partnering with key stakeholders to effectively prioritize, build relationships, and translate business needs into practical, well-tested solutions.
What You Will Do
- Partner with OPD stakeholders to understand and anticipate their business IT needs.
- Prioritize a focused backlog and deliver the highest-value work on time.
- Map processes, run gap analyses, and identify opportunities to improve and innovate.
- Facilitate stakeholder conversations and translate technical detail into business insight.
- Validate logic / configuration, and lead pre-release and user acceptance testing.
- Gather requirements and write clear user stories and functional specifications.
- Support the OPD application portfolio through onboarding, enhancements, and adoption.
- Support change control and keep system documentation and compliance current.
- Stay current on relevant technologies and best practices.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Demonstrated experience as a business systems analyst or in a comparable role
- Experience delivering software solutions end-to-end with business and technical teams.
- Working knowledge of how software solutions are designed, configured, and delivered.
- Experience partnering with software vendors or development teams to solve business needs.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience supporting platforms or solutions in the EPC environment
- Experience with data & analytics governance and tools (IE: Snowflake, SQL, PowerBI).
- Experience with AGILE© teams and innovation frameworks.
- Experience with AI literacy and utilization
