What You Will Do
- Lead, implement, and maintain the site ESD Control Program in alignment with ANSI/ESD S20.20, IEC 61340-5-1, and corporate requirements.
- Conduct periodic ESD audits of manufacturing areas, workstations, personnel, and material handling processes.
- Develop corrective and preventive action plans and monitor effectiveness through closure.
- Lead investigations related to ESD-related failures, field returns, scrap, or process escapes.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations for product design reviews, PCB layout considerations, material selection, and manufacturing process changes.
- Develop and deliver ESD training programs for manufacturing, engineering, and supplier personnel.
- Manage qualification, verification, calibration coordination, and maintenance of ESD monitoring and test equipment.
- Create, maintain, and improve ESD procedures, work instructions, technical documentation, and control plans.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in quality, safety, and operational performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Physics, or related technical field.
- Experience developing, implementing, or managing ESD control programs in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ESD control methodologies including grounding, ionization, footwear/flooring systems, and protective packaging.
- Experience using quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, 8D, FMEA, and basic statistical methods.
- Experience working with ESD measurement and testing equipment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and influence technical decisions.
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Reliability Engineering, or related discipline.
- Professional ESD certification such as Certified ESD Program Manager or equivalent.
- Experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting SMT assembly or complex PCB manufacturing processes.
- Experience conducting supplier audits and leading cross-functional improvement projects.
- Knowledge of environmental factors affecting ESD performance.
- Experience analyzing data trends and developing reporting metrics.
