Design Engineer — Support the design, development, and sustaining of PSBU products as part of the Flexi Catalyst team. You’ll contribute across segments (as assigned), delivering CAD, documentation, and engineering change execution for NPD, modification, and technical support work—aligned to PDP and Koch’s PBM culture
Our Team
You’ll join the PSBU / CCS Flexi Catalyst team in Bangalore, a multi-segment design group that flexes talent where priorities are highest. The team works closely with Product Management, Sales, customers, and cross-functional partners (MIE, AQP, Tooling, Reliability, etc.) to deliver high-quality product updates and new designs
What You Will Do
- Contribute to new designs, product modifications, and technical support efforts across segments based on business needs.
- Build and maintain core engineering deliverables including 3D/2D CAD models, drawings, specifications, DVP&R, tolerance stack-ups, and test summaries.
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver PDP-aligned design outputs.
- Execute assigned project work with strong ownership of quality, timelines, and documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement ideas related to design quality, responsiveness, and reuse of best practices.
- Manage and support engineering changes (ECR/ECN) while maintaining configuration and PLM discipline.
- Apply PBM principles in collaboration, decision-making, and daily execution
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 2–4 years of experience in component-level design/development or 3D/2D CAD work.
- Proficiency in NX CAD and working knowledge of Teamcenter/PLM practices.
- Working knowledge of GD&T and basic tolerance analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions with clear communication and structured problem-solving
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience designing components using molded, stamped, machined, and/or plated parts.
- Demonstrated learning agility and flexibility to support multiple product segments.
- Prior experience creating/maintaining DVP&R and application specifications.
- Strong track record of executing ECR/ECN changes with good documentation quality.
- Strong alignment to Koch culture: integrity, openness, ownership mindset, and teamwork
