- Molex is seeking an Assistant Engineer to join our Optical Solutions Business Unit (OSBU). In this role, you will support engineering teams in the development and manufacturing of Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) products. You will be responsible for engineering documentation, design support activities, BOM maintenance, layout verification, and engineering data analysis to ensure efficient execution of product development and NPI programs.

What You Will Do
- Maintain and standardize engineering documents, technical specifications, and design records.
- Create and maintain optical/electrical schematics, block diagrams, and related engineering drawings.
- Maintain product Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering databases.
- Collect, organize, and analyze engineering, test, and yield data; prepare reports and charts.
- Support engineering build activities, including experiment tracking, material coordination, and documentation.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Optics, Photonics, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Basic proficiency in English reading and writing.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with engineering documentation and revision control.
- Experience maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) or engineering databases.
- Experience using engineering drawing tools such as Visio or AutoCAD.
- Experience with data analysis and report generation using Excel.
- Familiarity with semiconductors, optoelectronics, or optical communication technologies.
