As a Technical Account Manager, you will serve as the trusted technical and commercial advisor for strategic ODM and OEM customers. In this role, you will drive design-win opportunities by aligning Molex's advanced interconnect solutions with customer product roadmaps, system architectures, and performance requirements. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and commercial teams to deliver innovative connectivity solutions from concept through production while building long-term customer partnerships that drive business growth.
You will engage directly with leading ODM and OEM technology companies, influencing next-generation servers, networking, and AI infrastructure platforms. This role offers a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem while partnering with some of the industry's largest hyperscale technology companies and influencing next-generation data center connectivity solutions.
The Global Sales and Marketing/Taiwan based ODM team partners with some of the world's leading hardware manufacturers to enable breakthrough technologies through advanced connectors and interconnect solutions. This highly collaborative team works across sales, engineering, product management, and manufacturing to create value for customers and accelerate growth in strategic markets.
- Develop and grow relationships with key engineering, sourcing, and business stakeholders within strategic ODM and OEM accounts.
- Drive design-win opportunities by identifying and positioning Molex interconnect solutions within customer platforms and future product roadmaps.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact, translating customer requirements into solutions that align with Molex capabilities and business objectives.
- Analyze system architectures, application requirements, and design constraints to recommend standard or customized interconnect solutions.
- Lead the technical sales process from opportunity identification and discovery through evaluation, qualification, production release, and revenue realization.
- Deliver compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution recommendations to engineering teams and decision-makers.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to define customer requirements and support new business opportunities.
- Support pricing discussions, quotations, forecasting activities, and business case development to maximize customer and business value.
- Monitor customer technology roadmaps, market trends, and competitive activity to identify emerging opportunities and influence future product strategy.
- Act as the voice of the customer by providing market intelligence, competitive insights, and solution feedback to internal stakeholders.
- Support technical troubleshooting and issue resolution during validation, qualification, and production phases.
- Provide product training and technical support to customers, channel partners, and sales teams.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Read, write, and speak Mandarin Chinese and English languages due to the global nature of customer interactions.
- Experience in technical sales, field applications engineering (FAE), solutions engineering, account management, product marketing, or a related customer-facing technical role.
- Experience supporting customers in a technical B2B environment, preferably within electronics, semiconductor, connectivity, networking, telecommunications, data center, enterprise hardware, or related technology industries.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, customer requirements, and system-level architectures.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customer engagements.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience working directly with OEM and/or ODM engineering organizations.
- Experience managing multiple customer opportunities and long sales cycles simultaneously.
- Experience with connectors, cable assemblies, high-speed interconnects, networking hardware, servers, storage solutions, or data center infrastructure.
- Experience supporting AI, cloud computing, networking, telecommunications, or enterprise hardware customers.
- Demonstrated success securing design wins and growing strategic customer relationships.
- Experience presenting technical solutions to engineering leaders, business stakeholders, and executive audiences.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional global teams.
