PRIMARY PURPOSE: Supplier, including potential supplier, assessment/audit/qualification. Involve DFM review and PPAP process. Lead/coordinate “high risk” component PPAP process and support AQP/MIE on other component PPAP. Work with supplier to conduct gap analysis between project requirement and supplier capability, looking for supplier improvement opportunity and develop supplier accordingly. Technical and knowledge support for on-site inspector if needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Involve NPI phase project requirement review and component DFM review.
2. Understand and familiar with each key supplier system/process capability.
3. Involve team on supplier selection full frame review and team work out final decision.
4. Identify supplier opportunity, drive/push/involve supplier development on supplier capability improvement, including but not limit on equipment, process, tooling…
5. High risk supplier/component APQP process management and PPAP review. Ensure move to mass production smoothly.
6. Relevant information sharing and delivery to AQP/MQA/MIE. Lesson learn database creation.
SCOPE: Work independently to work with suppliers for quality issue settlement. Also expected to work independently in the improvement of component quality issues and component process performance with internal cross function team. Expected to be skilful on quality tools utilization such as 8D, SPC, six sigma, 5why analysis. Also need QSA, QPA audit skills.
EDUCATION:
REQUIRED: Degree or Diploma in Science or Engineering
WORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED: 5 years minimum in supplier quality or advance quality management. Strong plating knowledge.
PREFERRED: Have working experience/knowledge on plating process.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
REQUIRED:
• Statistical technique, Quality tools, internal auditor for ISO9000/IATF16949 with audit skill
• English ability, especially reading/writing
• Basic computer skills
• Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
PREFERRED:
• English Listening/speaking
• VDA6.3 auditor certificate by VDA/QMC
