| Ø NPD Sourcing is accountable for NPD sourcing decisions, as well as meeting the defined key performance indicators (KPIs) Ø NPD Sourcing will align with two distinct workstreams: Project (& Product) Manager(s) for the day-to-day work on the project requirements, timelines, etc. NPD Sourcing will leverage standard Procurement processes and practices will align with business unit (BU) needs (project strategy, criticality, escalation, etc.) Ø NPD Sourcing is a core functional team member of a project team and contributes to the project success by exhibiting a contribution mindset and applying a Principled Entrepreneurship mental model. Ø Apply technical expertise and methods to research, understand, and develop/improve current or new sources of supply to meet the product life cycle deliverables in align with Global Category Strategy |

What You Will Do
Ø SELECT component, sub-assembly, service, or product suppliers in alignment with the global category strategy and Molex procurement strategy
Ø LEAD (or OVERSEE) any supplier engagement, negotiations, and maintain supplier relationships. This includes early engagement of suppliers (before RFQ).
Ø ENSURE that the Sourcing function is engaged (Category Managers, Indirect Category Managers, Procurement Management, etc.) at the right level to optimize project execution and attain project objectives. The Sourcing engineer ensures alignment to category strategies.
Ø CONTRIBUTE to the achievement of the project targets (e.g., architectural costs, quality, on-time release…) while respecting the sourcing process.
Ø Collaborates and drives cost roadmaps to maintain a competitive advantage in our marketplace.
Ø Participate actively in project or annual material and cost reduction programs, including ownership for supplier Negotiations, Resourcing and VAVE
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Ø Relevant and proficient technical expertise to succeed in the role (electrical, mechanical, process, etc)
Ø Prefer Financial understanding and communication skills.
Ø Knowledge of the relevant industries associated with supply base.
Ø Prefer understanding and experience with integrated manufacturing software systems, i.e. ERP, MRP and Excel
Ø Solid written and oral communications skills in English
Ø Good organizational, time management, and analytical skills
Ø Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally
Ø BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical engineering depending on the job assignment.
Ø 3+years of experience in Direct Spend sourcing with Procurement function focused on Electrical and Mechanical categories
