Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a Mechanical Fitter – Multi Skilled to support the construction department by installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems for project and shutdown work.
Our Team
The role will support the KES Construction team, which delivers One-Source Solution projects from design and fabrication through professional installation. The team supports refinery, petrochemical, and heavy industrial customers across the region, working with equipment and solutions connected to John Zink and Koch-Glitsch products.
What You Will Do
• Interpret internals drawings, isometric drawings, weld maps, bills of materials, and piping-related documents to support accurate fabrication and installation.
• Fabricate, assemble, secure, and install pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications.
• Support mechanical activities including equipment isolation, bolting, flange management, gasket selection, and piping-related work.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment required for fabrication, installation, and maintenance activities.
• Support rigging, material handling, and preparation activities required for mechanical installations.
• Assist welders, supervisors, and project teams to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
• Apply technical knowledge related to valves, piping systems, fittings, and column internals used in the oil and gas industry.
• Support the development and training of new fitters and helpers when required.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Knowledge of mechanical fitting activities within petroleum, chemical, oil and gas industries.
• ITI qualification in Mechanical Fitter or a related mechanical trade.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, weld maps, and bills of materials.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project requirements.
What Will Put You Ahead
• Exposure to shutdown and turnaround activities involving column and tower internals.
• Knowledge of supervisory or crew-leading activities within industrial construction environments.
• Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of industrial construction procedures, standards, and safe work practices.
• Exposure to welding requirements, rigging activities, mechanical valves, piping schedules, flanges, gaskets, fittings, and column internals used within the oil and gas industry.
