As a System Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in validating next-generation embedded automotive systems that power connected mobility. You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable product performance for cutting-edge automotive solutions.
Our Team
You will be part of the Connected Mobility Solutions (CMS) engineering team at Molex, focused on developing innovative automotive technologies such as in-vehicle networking, infotainment, and advanced connectivity systems. The team works collaboratively across geographies, partnering closely with design, development, and manufacturing groups to deliver world-class solutions.
What You Will Do
- Drive system-level validation of embedded automotive products, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with requirements
- Design and execute comprehensive system and integration test strategies aligned to product needs
- Develop and expand automation frameworks using scripting languages such as Python and CAPL
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to review requirements, debug issues, and improve product quality
- Analyze complex test results, identify defects early, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Build and maintain traceability and testing processes in alignment with Automotive SPICE standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of test methodologies and automation capabilities
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics & Communications, Computer Science, or related field
- 8–12 years of experience in embedded system/software testing, including system-level validation
- Hands-on experience with test automation using Python and scripting languages such as CAPL or Perl
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, including both hardware and software aspects
- Experience working with automotive communication protocols such as CAN and LIN
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience developing Python-based test automation frameworks
- ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification
- Exposure to diagnostics (UDS), NFC, functional safety, or cybersecurity validation in automotive systems
- Familiarity with tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, Polarion, DOORS, Git, or SVN
- Knowledge of automotive development processes (V-model, ASPICE, Agile)
- Understanding of AUTOSAR architecture
- Exposure to wireless charging (Qi standard) or automotive USB technologies
