Role Overview
As a Supervisor, Production, you will lead the daily production operations of transferred Optical Solution product lines, ensuring output, quality, cost, delivery and safety performance meet transfer and ramp‑up expectations.
What You Will Do
- Lead day‑to‑day production operations for transferred optical solution product lines, ensuring SQCD targets.
- Manage and assign operators/line leaders; monitor manpower & discipline.
- Ensure all production activities follow Manufacturing Process Definition and approved SOPs.
- Assist engineering teams in setup, validation builds, and issue resolution.
- Analyze yield, scrap, rework, cycle time; drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper use and care of machines, tools, jigs, fixtures.
- Collaborate with QA on QN, deviations, complaints, containment.
- Drive cost‑reduction, 5S, Kaizen, Lean, L6S. Maintain production documentation, shift reports, and KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with 5S, EHS, RBA, asset protection.
- Coach and build operator capability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- College degree and above
- Preferred if have optical communication-related background
Experience:
- 3+ years of production supervisory experience.
- Preferred if have experience in transfer, NPI ramp, EMS environments
Required Skills
- Good Chinese communication skill, intermediate English or vice versa.
- Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing KPIs (yield, OEE, cycle time, UPH).
- Good communication and cross‑functional coordination.
- Ability to analyze problems using data and driving actions.
- Preferred if familiar with manufacturing processes and production management, have knowledge of Lean/5S/Kaizen; disciplined in following standards.
