Your Job
As a Senior Officer, Planning, you will be responsible for driving production planning, scheduling, and inventory control to meet customer delivery requirements and enhance customer satisfaction. This role focuses on optimising inventory levels while maximising 3rd party revenue through effective coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
Our Team
You will be working closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Sales, Quality, Engineering, and Marketing. This role also partners with external vendors and engages stakeholders across all levels, including senior operations leadership, to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
What You Will Do
- Prepare and drive production schedules to meet internal and external customer requirements, ensuring alignment with MPD and CRD goals by producing the right stock at the right time. Collaborate with vendors on delivery commitments and review backlog and forecasts against capacity to generate effective production orders that maximise 3rd party revenue.
- Lead recovery planning in the event of production failures that impact delivery. Initiate alignment meetings, communicate revised delivery plans to stakeholders, and escalate to the HOD when required. Develop and maintain master production plans for allocation scenarios where demand exceeds capacity and frequent adjustments are required.
- Serve as the key interface for Delivery Management, ensuring shipment commitments are accurate and aligned with production execution, rework orders, block stock management, and overall CRD/MPD targets.
- Review capacity constraints regularly, maintain and update capacity charts for constraint parts, and work closely with SSP, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Engineering teams to implement solutions and avoid customer disruptions.
- Review and commit to monthly output and revenue targets for assigned engineering series, ensuring execution aligns with agreed commitments.
- Monitor inventory movement and collaborate with Site Supply Planning to establish appropriate buffer stock levels, while managing end-to-end DSI for connectors to achieve optimal inventory control.
- Conduct monthly reviews of DSI, S&E, and past shelf life to minimise inventory scrap.
- Evaluate published lead times against actual performance and drive alignment with plant metrics on a monthly basis.
- Provide backup support for other planners during leave, emergencies, or manpower shortages to ensure continuity of operations.
- Support company initiatives such as EICC, TS16949, ISO 9001/14001, TQM, and GLSS projects.
- Apply and continuously practise PBM principles in daily work.
