SOURCING ENGINEER – NPI SOURCING (DIRECT)
Location: Thang Long II IP, Hung Yen (Daily Bus from Hanoi, Hai Duong & Bac Ninh)
Reports to: Sourcing Manager, DSS Supply Base Management

Your Impact
Molex is seeking a proactive Sourcing Specialist to support New Product Introduction (NPI) for the DataCom & Specialty Solutions (DSS) division.
In this role, you will take ownership of sourcing activities across all BOM components, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure cost, quality, and supply readiness from development through product launch.
What You’ll Do
Drive NPI Sourcing Execution
- Manage sourcing for all BOM line items across new product development projects
- Partner with Engineering, Project Management, and Product teams throughout the development cycle
- Support supplier selection, onboarding, and contracting
Cost & Supplier Management
- Lead RFQs, supplier negotiations (pricing, terms, delivery) and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Drive BOM cost competitiveness and support margin improvement
- Ensure pricing accuracy and timely updates in SAP
Supplier & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Work closely with Category Management, Quality, and Supply Base teams on sourcing strategies
- Support multi-source strategies to ensure supply continuity
Market & Data Insights
- Conduct market research, benchmarking, and cost analysis
- Support development of sourcing strategies and commodity roadmaps
- Track project KPIs and maintain sourcing documentation using internal tools
Operational Support
- Support FAI process documentation and reporting
- Assist with customs and purchase order information for NPI projects
- Ensure compliance with sourcing processes and company principles
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain
- Experience with SAP (supplier & material management modules)
- Strong analytical, cost analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in a cross-functional environment
- High ownership, adaptability, and willingness to learn
Nice to Have
- Experience in Data Communication industry
- Technical knowledge of tooling, stamping, molding, PCB, assembly, or packaging
- Experience in global sourcing or procurement
- Knowledge of contract management, negotiation, and financial analysis
