We are looking for an Design Process Engineer to join our team Molex located in Siemianowice Śląskie, Poland.
Our Team
The primary purpose of the role is to assess the feasibility of new product designs and oversee the full design and development process for new products. The position works closely with all manufacturing departments to gather manufacturing input, support quality improvements, and identify and prevent potential risks. It also collaborates with all project stakeholders to ensure effective communication, monitor project progress, and support the timely delivery of project objectives.
In addition, the role is responsible for managing change requests (internal and customer-driven), ensuring adherence to defined change management procedures, coordinating implementation across functions, and maintaining proper documentation and traceability of all engineering and process changes.
What You Will Do
- In new project develop, work for whole process strategy, and compare each strategy to find out the optimal one with project team, integrate each process DFM, and design whole process.
- Manage and coordinate Change Requests (CR) related to product and process (including customer-driven and internal changes).
- Ensure all changes are evaluated for feasibility, risk, and impact on quality, cost, and delivery before implementation.
- Coordinate cross-functional alignment (Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain) to ensure successful and timely implementation of changes.
- Maintain proper documentation and archiving of all Change Requests, ensuring full traceability and audit readiness.
- Organize the product design review with manufacture Engineers to provide manufacturing feasibility analysis and DFM to PD and PM, including molding, die, plating and assembly, to make sure the manufacturing feasibility of the product design.
- Define clear components’ flow process if these components need multiple manufacture.
- As a technical linkage of each manufacture department.
- As a communication windows between manufacture department team and product design team.
- Analyse quality issue and deploy improvement.
- Initiate and drive Process Change Requests (PCR) from internal improvement activities, cost optimization, or quality issues.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree at least, graduated in Mechanical or Manufacturing, or Automation or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years product design, mold or die design or automation design or manufacturing experience.
- Product design and quality concept to leverage Product / Quality / Manufacturing requirement.
- Have deep knowledge and work experience to predictive engineering tools, ex. PFMEA, DoE.
- Have general knowledge and working experience on problem solving procedure and tools, ex. 8D, 5-why, fishbone, etc.
- Proficiency in CAD software; experience with UG NX is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English skills, enabling effective collaboration with global teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A strong willingness and ability to learn new concepts, tools, and technical knowledge.
- A collaborative, respectful, and humble approach to teamwork.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Familiar with all manufacture process of connectors.
- Experience with Change Management processes in automotive or manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of customer-specific requirements related to engineering changes (e.g., PCN, PPAP updates).
- Familiar with connector application and performance.
- Work experience with Automotive product.
- Six sigma GB is preferred.
