Our Team
You'll join our Manufacturing Engineering team as the technical lead over process and tooling engineering, guiding the group's technical direction on injection molding programs from mold design through full-scale production.
What You Will Do
- Lead the technical roadmap for process and tooling engineering, setting standards and best practices across both disciplines
- Guide process and tooling engineers through complex troubleshooting, design reviews, and mold qualification activities
- Own the most critical, cross-functional problems — from mold design issues to process variation — driving them to root cause and resolution
- Review and approve mold designs, process windows, and validation plans before they move into production
- Champion advanced molding technologies (scientific molding, automation, in-mold sensing) to raise team capability
- Partner with product design, quality, and operations leadership to influence manufacturability decisions early in the product lifecycle
- Coach and develop process and tooling engineers, building technical depth and problem-solving skills across the team
- Represent the process/tooling function in program reviews, capital planning, and supplier evaluations
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience spanning injection molding process engineering and tooling engineering
- Deep expertise in thermoplastic materials, mold construction, and scientific molding principles
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams or programs, including mentoring less experienced engineers
- Track record of resolving complex, cross-functional manufacturing issues from concept through production
What Will Put You Ahead
- Prior experience as a technical lead or manager over a process/tooling engineering group
- Proficiency with Siemens NX software
- Six Sigma or lean manufacturing certification
- Experience with CPS, RJG, mold flow simulation, automation integration, or Industry 4.0 / smart manufacturing initiatives
- Background across multiple industries (medical device, automotive, consumer electronics)
