We are seeking an innovative and proactive IT Operations Technical Lead to join our Collaboration and Support Center Manufacturing Excellence Group and the GP Decision Analytics Group. These groups serve as Centers of Excellence, driving manufacturing and commercial transformation across Georgia-Pacific by harnessing analytics, information, technology, and actionable insights.
What You Will Do
- Lead the CSC Operations team in supporting CSC Applications and platforms.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and data science teams to enhance modeling and decision-making capabilities.
- Utilize Big Data, Cloud, and Analytics technologies to focus on asset health, optimization, and process improvement.
- Drive sustainable value and competitive advantage through the strategic use of analytics and technology.
- Stay ahead of industry trends to ensure the adoption of futuristic analytics possibilities.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Proven experience in IT operations within a manufacturing or related industry.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to think strategically and forwardly.
- Expertise in Big Data, Cloud computing, and Analytics technologies.
- Excellent collaboration and partnership abilities with cross-functional teams.
- A commitment to sustainable and responsible operational practices.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a field of Information Technology (IT)
- Experience with the AVEVA / OSIsoft PI platform
- Experience with Cloud capabilities and AWS certification
- Experience with various database technologies including Redshift, RDS, Aurora, MS SQL Server, Neo4J, and QuasarDB
- Experience in developing small utilities, scripting, and reading a variety of code including python
