Handle manufacturing quality activities and continuous improvement, customer complaints at Molex Shanghai
What You Will Do
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Handle daily manufacturing quality activities, including issue tracking and data collection
• Drive root cause analysis using basic tools (5Why, Fishbone) and follow-up corrective actions
• Handle customer complaints (8D report, containment actions such as sorting, inspection, and shipment control, customer audit etc.)
• Work in preparation and update of WI, Control Plans, and inspection checklists
• Work with AQP team during trial runs, Q-runs, and validation activities
• Participate in internal quality audits and compliance checks
• Handle quality improvement projects (yield improvement, defect reduction)
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting (Excel, basic SPC)
• Support daily IPQC / FQC monitoring activities
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor
SCOPE:
• Handle manufacturing quality activities within assigned product lines
• Participating in cross-functional quality improvement tasks
• Handling customer complaints
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
EDUCATION:
REQUIRED: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Materials, or related)
• Good English communication skills (reading, writing and speaking)
PREFERRED: • Master’s degree preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED: • At least 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Quality Management within electronics, connector, automotive, or related manufacturing industries.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing processes such as stamping, plating, molding, assembly, and final testing.
• Strong experience in customer complaint handling, root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and 8D problem-solving methodology.
• Experience in process quality control, quality system compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including PE, ME, PD, AQP, SQE, and Operations.
• Familiar with quality tools and methodologies including PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, GR&R, CPK, DOE, and Six Sigma.
• Experience in quality audit activities, process validation, new product introduction (NPI), and change management.
• Strong analytical, data-driven decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication skills in English and ability to interface with customers and global teams.
PREFERRED: • Experience in connector (BTB, BTC) ,SMT or precision electronic component manufacturing.
• Experience supporting major OEM customers such as Apple, Nvidia, vivo, OPPO, Lenovo, HP, or automotive customers.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
REQUIRED: • Good logical and problem-solving mindset
• Detail-oriented and responsible
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic knowledge of quality tools is a plus (7QC tools, SPC)
PREFERRED: • Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt or equivalent quality-related certifications is preferred
OTHER: • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
