What You Will Do
1. Review and interpret customer design requirements from Marketing, Sales or Customer drawings or specifications.
2. Provide preliminary design feasibility review of customer requirements.
3. Generate, review, and determine feasibility of design proposals in the form of CAD models, drawings or sketches.
4. Create CAD design models, sales and engineering drawings, and other design specifications such as product, material and packaging specifications.
5. Perform design verification activities including tolerance analysis and design FMEA.
6. Conduct design reviews to determine feasibility of design and design for manufacturability.
7. Release final design specifications for tooling design and development.
8. Establish test specification plan for product reliability testing.
9. Support tooling engineers in disposing of First Article inspection reports.
10. Approve or disapprove product deviation requests.
11. Review engineering verification samples, documents and test reports for customer approval.
12. Provide training for customers and other Molex engineering personnel as assigned by the Product Development Manager.
13. Provide design support for product modifications and/or extensions.
14. Provide design support for manufacturing process improvements and participate in cost reduction activities.
15. Respond to customer complaints on design-related issues.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
1.Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of connectors.
3. Good communication skills.
