Our Team
As a Control Engineer, you will contribute to building and optimizing automation systems for modern manufacturing lines. This role focuses on PLC programming, robot integration, and electrical system design to enable high-performance production equipment and support new technology implementation in the factory.
What You Will Do
- Design and develop electrical control systems, PLC programs, robot applications, and automation solutions for new manufacturing equipment
- Drive machine development from concept to production, including device selection, system design, and collaboration with suppliers
- Lead machine build, debugging, trial runs, and mass production readiness to ensure stable and efficient operations
- Troubleshoot automation equipment issues and implement effective solutions during trial and pre-production phases
- Improve machine performance, productivity, and cost efficiency through continuous engineering optimization
- Create and maintain technical documentation including wiring diagrams, operation instructions, BOMs, and I/O mapping
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Process Engineering) to enhance system capability and reliability
- Research and apply new automation technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage in manufacturing
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automation engineering, control system design, machine development, or industrial automation within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience developing and implementing PLC programs and industrial automation control systems.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create technical documentation, electrical drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation equipment, and industrial machine operations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate in English in a professional work environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with industrial robotics programming and integration.
- Hands-on experience with machine vision systems and automated inspection technologies.
- Proficiency in C++ programming, microcontroller development, or embedded control applications.
- Experience managing automation projects from concept development through mass production launch.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or TQM.
- Japanese language capability or experience working with global engineering teams.
