Your Job
We are seeking a QA Engineer to support process quality control in our Local Assembly operations in Johor Bahru. This role focuses on ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement, and supporting internal and external quality standards.
The working location is at Local Assembly, Gelang Patah.
Our Team
You will be part of the OSBU Local Assembly team, working closely with QA technicians, inspectors, and production staff to maintain high-quality standards and support manufacturing excellence.
What You Will Do
- Implement and maintain in-process quality controls and inspection plans to ensure product conformity during manufacturing
- Analyze internal (COPQ) & external (QN) data to identify areas for improvement and participate in GLSS projects to realize improvements.
- Initiate quality-driven projects for continual improvement; initiate QMS /ESD audit plan
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve operational efficiency
- Maintain and ensure QMS /ESD /MSA are in place and in compliance in his/her area of responsibility.
- Ensure quality functions are implemented and carried out in accordance with one’s RRE.
- Manage incoming material quality, including supplier communication, inspection activities, and traceability control
- Monitor outgoing product quality to ensure full compliance with customer specifications and shipping requirements
- Plan and conduct internal quality audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures
- Support customer and external audits by preparing required documentation and ensuring timely closure of audit findings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive preventive actions
- Support in Failure analysis and report drafting
- Prepare necessary Workmanship standard / Work instruction.
- Train new technician /inspector
- Prepare weekly quality report and review quality issue with other engineers
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or similar industry
- Knowledge of quality systems (QMS, ESD, ISO) and auditing
- Familiarity with quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5 Why)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab)
- Exposure to SAP or manufacturing systems
- Experience in AutoCAD or 3D modelling
