Georgia-Pacific’s IT Group is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining our IT portfolio management capability. Collaborating closely with stakeholders and internal teams, you will be responsible for conducting analysis, documenting requirements, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate would be passionate about utilizing analytics to improve processes and have a drive to make impacts on multiple business groups.
Location: This role is based at our Georgia-Pacific Headquarters in Atlanta, GA. We operate on a hybrid schedule.

What You Will Do
- Partner with portfolio team and stakeholders to mature IT portfolio management capability through action plans.
- Foster effective communication and teamwork by partnering with internal colleagues, stakeholders, and customers to gain a comprehensive understanding of requirements and desired outcomes.
- Organize and oversee backlog meetings and planning sessions, track action items, and manage follow-ups related to portfolio management initiatives
- Document findings, requirements, processes, and any subsequent changes to ensure accurate and reliable information.
- Ensure support team is effective in implementing proposed solutions and requirements.
- Conduct training and knowledge share sessions, empowering users with the skills to maximize their utilization of the Portfolio Tool and related processes.
- Collaborate with the learning team to develop and manage a comprehensive SharePoint site for portfolio process and tool documentation.
- Utilize data analysis techniques to ensure metrics and reports provide the insights needed for informed decision-making, while ensuring stakeholders have timely access to essential information.
- Develop and maintain regular updates for dashboards, operational review visuals, and monthly reports to support effective tracking and reporting of key metrics and performance indicators.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Consulting, Project Management, or similar role
- Experience understanding, analyzing, and documenting Business Processes
- Experience in communicating complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
- Excel experience (Pivot Tables, LOOKUPs, creating data models)
What Will Put You Ahead
- Power BI, Tableau, or similar experience
- Familiarity with concepts such as financial planning, cost management, and variance analysis
- Understanding Business Process Management Notation (BPMN 2.0)
