Join our team as an Account Specialist supporting Key Account Managers in a hands-on, high-impact role: you’ll own quoting and contract management, assist collections and billing investigations, manage material lifecycles and part-number transitions, and lead cost-savings initiatives, all while delivering concise forecasts, scorecards, and account reporting. What You Will Do
- Support Key Account Managers by executing daily account operations, driving assigned activities to completion, and independently resolving issues with limited supervision.
- Manage end-to-end quoting and pricing for new and renewal business, including contract administration and updates in customer portals and Molex PROS to ensure pricing accuracy.
- Managing New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycles and day-to-day tactical support for key accounts, including direct coordination with customers on scheduling, timelines, and deliverable tracking.
- Negotiating with the factory or production planning teams to accelerate shipments when a customer faces a "line-down" situation.
- Sample Coordination: Managing the delivery of engineering samples or "first-article" sets for customer qualification and testing.
- End-to-End Order Processing- Managing the lifecycle of orders for complex parts, from initial entry to tracking shipments of connectors and cable assemblies.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships across functions and with customers; communicate professionally via email, phone, and face-to-face interactions to represent the organization credibly.
- Produce and distribute concise, actionable account reporting (forecasts, scorecards, past-due items, revenue summaries) using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams)
- Manage customer disagreements and escalations constructively, keep conversations at a working level, escalate appropriately, and drive timely resolutions.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Sales support experience with OEM and/or EMS/CM customers.
- Experience in B2B account support, customer success, sales operations, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end quoting, renewals, and contract administration.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across internal cross-functional teams.
- Experience working directly with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and understanding the "Triangle" relationship between the OEM, the CM, and the Component Manufacturer.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems. Hands-on use of SAP or Salesforce.
- Practical experience with connectors, terminals, cable assemblies, and passive electromechanical components.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes relevant to connectors assemblies, plastic injection molding, metal stamping, wire harness/cable assembly, and general assembly processes.
- Familiarity with the datacom customer base and industry requirements (e.g., quality standards, supply chain dynamics).
- Proven sales skills with the ability to develop customer relationships, negotiate effectively, and close opportunities.
