We are seeking an experienced AI Solution Architect to join the Koch Technology AI Innovation & Design team. In this role, you will lead the architecture and development of AI-powered products that create business value through responsible, scalable solutions. You will design and build full-stack applications, partner with product and business leaders, and apply AI and automation to transform processes, products, and services.

Our Team
The AI Innovation & Design team applies AI & Automation technologies to transform processes, products, and services in Koch Technology. We partner with capability teams, product owners, and business leaders across the enterprise to identify high-value opportunities, prototype quickly, and deliver AI solutions that transform how work gets done. You will work daily with architects, engineers, designers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
This role can be located in Wichita, KS / Atlanta, GA / Plano, TX and requires an in office presence with flexibility.
This role is not eligible for VISA sponsorship.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a technical architect for multiple AI projects, owning end-to-end design across the full stack — data, models, backend services, APIs, front-end experiences, and cloud infrastructure.
- Partner with product owners to shape the AI architecture and roadmap, prioritize work by value, and steward the product lifecycle from concept through deployment and adoption.
- Work directly with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure those solutions deliver measurable business value.
- Think broadly about how AI and automation can reinvent existing processes and capabilities. Partner across teams to help leaders understand ‘art of the possible’, ideate solutions, and rapidly prototype solutions.
- Develop full-stack AI and Automation solutions, setting technical direction through working code, reference architectures, and reusable design patterns.
- Identify technical, delivery, and adoption challenges early and develop strategies to optimize costs and risks effectively.
- Express ideas and actively listen across technical and non-technical audiences; provide regular updates and seek continuous feedback.
- Grow the knowledge and experience of other team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
- Track rapidly emerging AI technologies and advocate for their adoption where they create real value.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience designing and delivering AI and software engineering projects, specifically hands on knowledge of AI Tools and services such as BedRock, Anthropic, Azure, and others.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience designing APIs, integrations, event-driven systems, and scalable application architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical and business challenges through structured analysis and practical solutions.
- Experience partnering with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical teams to align priorities and deliver outcomes.
- Proven ability to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving technology environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Understand generative AI technologies and their practical applications.
- Experience with identity, security, authentication, or enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with container platforms and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of AWS services including Application Load Balancers, AWS Fargate, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and platform engineering practices.
- Developing in React or other modern UI frameworks
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and emerging technical leaders.
