Phillips Medisize Assembly Operations Department is responsible for the production of manufacturing medical devices that entails meeting production schedules, quality standards and customer requirements. The Production Supervisor will ensure that product inspections at all stages of the production process are performed and recorded in line with GMP & GDP requirements.
All duties will be carried out in accordance with the company’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Policies, and in line with the Quality Management Systems (ISO 13485).
What You Will Do
- Manage manpower planning to achieve on time customer deliveries.
- Participate daily operations meetings, reviewing production data and corrective action to ensure shift targets are achieved while ensuring a high-quality standard always.
- Lead and coordinate the day to day activities of the operations team to meet production targets for customer delivery, product quality & cost ensuring a safe work environment always.
- Maintain a safe work environment within the assembly department by ensuring that test and production equipment is operated and maintained correctly.
- Support CAPAs Customer Complaints and quality alerts in a timely manner in conjunction with Production Supervisor.
- Manage operators in the assembly area in conjunction with the Production Supervisor & the HR Department. Conduct monthly performance reviews with all operators.
- Conduct return to work interviews and monitor absenteeism.
- Be a champion for Operational Excellence initiatives on shift by encouraging all operators to engage with visual management Tools such as 6S and SQDC station level boards. Ensure boards and relevant reports are regularly kept up to date. Participate in continuous improvement efforts, Problem Solving, 6S audits and be a point of contact for continuous improvement ideas generated.
- Maintain and complete records of all testing and production activities performed.
- Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices. Ensuring all QA, HR, Safety, Environmental and other key procedures are followed.
- Manage operators in the assembly area in conjunction with the Production Supervisor.
- Support the Engineers in new product introductions, validations, trials, work process and product transfers.
- Any other duties assigned assigned by the Production Supervisor which may include department transfers.
- Embrace the Corporate PBM (Principle Based Management) Framework and Guiding Principles.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Ability to work in Manufacturing cleanroom settings
- Computer literature and familiarity with SAP system is an advantage.
- MS Office proficient
- Strong ability to use own initiative, to self-motivate and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
- Respond positively to change, embracing and using new practices or values to accomplish goals and solve problems.
- Demonstrate an ability to effectively plan work and to manage own time
