Manage the plating manufacturing processes in the production of electronic component connectors.
Our Team
The Shizuoka Plant owns an integrated process for connector manufacturing and leverages the latest technology within the C&CS Division to mass-produce a variety of market products. We introduce value-added products and plan to expand C&CS standard products to overseas plants in the future. The manufacturing department of the plant is organized into press, plating, molding, and assembly processes. The plating process is primarily responsible for the production of plated parts and the introduction and management of necessary equipment (including wastewater management). This role will often collaborate directly or indirectly with all departments involved in manufacturing, offering opportunities to enhance various specialized knowledge and experience in connector manufacturing. Key collaborating departments include other manufacturing departments within the plant, indirect departments, other plants (domestic and overseas), equipment design/manufacturing departments, purchasing departments, and quality assurance departments.
What You Will Do
- Manage the production, quality, and delivery schedules of new and mass-produced products.
- Develop and coach team members as a supervisor, foster team building and conduct evaluations.
- Manage and improve the resources (personnel, materials, systems) in your department.
- Maintain and improve quality within your department and related departments.
- Maintain and improve productivity within your department and related departments.
- Manage, improve, and optimize the cost of resources owned by your department.
- Maintain and improve the workplace environment and safety standards.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Knowledge and experience in electrolytic plating
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Conversational level
What Will Put You Ahead
- Knowledge and practical experience in electrolytic plating and leading improvement activities.
- Experience in production or production-related work in the electrolytic plating process, with management experience in the same field, and a proven track record of leading a team to success.
- Experience with automotive products and an understanding of quality management systems such as ISO/TS 16949/APQP Process is a plus.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, possessing clear and appropriate communication skills, and ensuring smooth interactions.
- Teamwork and collaboration: Ability to build a team towards achieving goals, align members, and support the team effectively.
- Awareness of safety and hygiene, and the ability to maintain and improve an appropriate workplace environment.
- Risk management: Ability to anticipate and mitigate risks in operations and implement appropriate countermeasures.
- Understanding of various MS (QMS, EMS/OHSMS, ISMS).
- Motivation to contribute, adaptability, and ability to build relationships, manage resources effectively, and address challenges.
