Molex is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support and optimize production processes within our Guadalajara operations. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring efficient product launches, improving manufacturing performance, and solving complex production challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate product design into scalable, reliable manufacturing processes while driving continuous improvement aligned with our business objectives.
Our Team
You will be part of the DataCom and Specialty Solutions (DSS) division, collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations teams. This team focuses on delivering high-performance connectivity solutions for data centers, telecommunications, and other critical industries, supporting innovation and operational excellence across Molex’s global footprint.
What You Will Do
- Drive the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes to meet production and quality objectives
- Support new product introductions and ramp-ups, ensuring readiness and seamless transition into production
- Identify and solve production issues using structured problem-solving methodologies to improve yield and reliability
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, enhance efficiency, and improve overall equipment effectiveness
- Maintain and enhance process documentation, including work instructions, routings, and training materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing strategies with product requirements
- Manage engineering changes related to processes, BOMs, and manufacturing methods
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence through adherence to 5S, EHS, and Lean practices
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronic Engineering or related field
- Experience working in manufacturing or process engineering environments
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, 5 Whys)
- Experience supporting production processes, including documentation and change management
- English proficiency to communicate effectively in a professional environment
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with SAP or similar manufacturing systems
- Knowledge of PFMEA, Poka-Yoke, and quality tools
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or production ramp-ups
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements
