Engineer, Product Design — Support PSBU High Power programs by delivering mechanical design solutions for new products, modifications, standard options, and sustaining engineering. You’ll convert VOC needs into manufacturable designs and execute projects through the product development process with cross-functional partners
Our Team
Based in PSBU, CCS Engineering (Bangalore), you’ll work with Manufacturing, AQP, Tooling, Reliability, Product Management, Sales, and customers to deliver high-quality, on-time product designs
What You Will Do
- Execute mechanical design work for NPD, MOD, and sustaining projects to meet performance, cost, and schedule targets.
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to define requirements and deliver VOC-aligned solutions.
- Create and maintain key design outputs: 3D models/drawings, specifications, DVP&R, tolerance stack-ups, and test summaries.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, verification readiness, and smooth releases.
- Manage engineering changes (ECR/ECN) and maintain design/configuration integrity.
- Plan and prioritize your work with your manager, applying PBM principles in daily execution
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in product design/development.
- Experience with engineering documentation and release deliverables (drawings, specs, verification plans).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of engineering change management.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Proficiency in Siemens NX.
- Experience with molded, stamped, machined, and plated part designs.
- Exposure to high-power/high-voltage products (connectors/cable assemblies a plus).
- SAP experience (Material Master/BOM).
- FEA/thermal simulation experience and familiarity with Agile/Scrum.
