Your Job
As a Design Engineer, Liaison, you will serve as the engineering bridge between the product development team and the manufacturing facility. Your primary focus will be supporting daily engineering activities between design and manufacturing, including resolution of production issues, creation of new length variations, and support of cross functional team tasks.
In addition, you will represent and take ownership of new product engineering and introduction into the plant, ensuring timely and accurate product launches by working closely with manufacturing teams. Product designs will be aligned to the manufacturing plant location supported. This role requires solid knowledge of product design, development, and manufacturing engineering principles.
Our Team
We specialise in designing and manufacturing solutions for plant electrical infrastructure, power products, and automation connectivity. The markets served include automotive production, food and beverage, material handling, and heavy duty industrial applications. Customers include OEMs and distributors, line builders, machine integrators, data centres, and maintenance and repair operations.
What You Will Do
- Act as the engineering liaison between product development and manufacturing teams.
- Support day to day design engineering issues in the plant and communicate systemic issues back to the design organisation.
- Create and maintain product documentation, including CAD models, drawings, PLM data, releases, and engineering changes.
- Coordinate and support new product launches and engineering changes.
- Assist manufacturing engineers, technicians, and support personnel in the development and testing of prototypes.
- Support manufacturing process engineers in developing test procedures, fixtures, and manufacturing documentation.
- Evaluate and help resolve engineering related production issues.
- Interpret engineering drawings and facilitate corrections identified during manufacturing operations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Fluent in English and Polish.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience using 3D and 2D CAD tools (NX preferred; SolidWorks or Inventor acceptable).
- Experience with prototype development and testing.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as crimping, soldering, and testing.
- Basic electrical knowledge and electro mechanical product testing experience.
- Proficiency with office applications such as Word and Excel.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in electro mechanical product design for industrial applications, preferably separable connectors.
- Knowledge of mechanical design for injection moulded, metal stamped, screw machined, and die cast components.
- Experience developing or supporting product test procedures.
- Connector industry experience.
- Experience with SAP or other MRP systems.
- Injection moulding experience.
