As the CNC Shop Production Manager, you will lead the machining operation — people, processes, and performance — to deliver precision components safely, on time, and to quality standards. You will drive throughput, efficiency, and continuous improvement while developing a capable, engaged team.

What You Will Do
• Lead and develop the CNC machining team to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
• Plan and manage production schedules, capacity, and resources to meet demand
• Drive machine utilization, throughput, and efficiency improvements
• Oversee setup, programming, tooling, and process standards
• Monitor KPIs (OEE, scrap, on-time delivery) and lead corrective actions
• Partner with engineering and quality to resolve issues and improve processes
• Manage maintenance, tooling, and capital planning for the machine shop
• Champion Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including 2+ years leading or supervising a team
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming, setup, tooling, and machining processes
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
• Demonstrated leadership and production management skills
What Will Put You Ahead
• Experience managing a machine shop in a high-mix, tight-tolerance, or regulated environment
• Proficiency with CAM software and CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and OEE improvement
• Experience with ERP/MES systems and capacity planning
