As a Quality Engineer, will be a part of a global team creating new solutions as well as improving existing solutions for Koch Global Solutions India (KGSI). Koch Business Solutions India is a privately held global organization with over 120,000 employees around the world, with subsidiaries involved in manufacturing, trading, and investments. This role will be responsible in analyzing business systems and requirements, perform gap and impact analysis. Design and execute robust test cases for web applications and API validations, identify and track defects, report QA status to project team and management, and collaborate with the team.
Our Team
As part of the Software Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team, the quality engineers support multiple ERP systems, platforms, and custom solutions across multiple different technologies. SE&I is responsible for the development, configuring, supporting, maintaining, and enhancing emerging technologies and focused on problem solving and providing innovative solutions to ensure optimal performance and customer experience for our products and applications. As a Quality Engineer you will be a critical part of the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that meets both customer expectations and company standards.
What You Will Do
· Understanding GP domains, business functionalities and technical landscapes of the applications in scope.
· Collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and the team to understand the acceptance criteria for requirements/user stories and assist in refining user stories and acceptance criteria with a focus on testability.
· Analyze system requirements, document, and execute QA Test Plans
· Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
· Identifying test requirements from functional specifications, author and execute test cases.
· Understand the complexity and derive the testing efforts and review and amend the story points if needed.
· Design and execute manual test cases for Web applications, and APIs.
· Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, UAT.
· Prepare detailed test reports and maintain test documentation.
· Identifying, replicating, and reporting defects and verify defect fixes.
· Communicate QA status to project team.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• 4-6 years of experience in software testing of Web applications and APIs across SDLC.
• Good knowledge of Waterfall methodology and well versed with Agile methodology.
• Strong knowledge of manual/functional QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in documenting and executing detailed Test Cases
• Experience with test management tools like JIRA, ALM etc.
• Experience testing APIs and/or Web Services using Postman, Soap UI or other similar tools.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to work under pressure and critical thinking skills and able to operate with minimal supervision.
• Good verbal and written communication
What Will Put You Ahead
• Experience of Test automation scripting using Tosca.
• Experience in SAP S/4 Hana Functional Testing.
• Hands on experience with Azure DevOps and qTest.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good knowledge on the current market trends.
